The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) at the University of Arkansas is seeking an outstanding scientist for a tenure-track faculty position in Physical Chemistry including nanomaterials research. The Department, the NIH NCRR Center for Protein Structure and Function and the University has state-of-the-art core facilities in NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, high-resolution electron microscopy, mass spectrometry, synthesis, nanomaterials characterization, high performance computing, and microelectronics fabrication and packaging. A new building dedicated to nanomaterials research is under construction. Collaboration with researchers in the department as well as within the University is highly valued. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. and a productive research experience and will be expected to establish a nationally recognized research program, and teach effectively at the graduate and undergraduate levels including core courses.
